      On one out of three stools, one leg split on setup -- following directions (drawings with no text) to step down on hinge to snap the folding stool open all the way. Replaced at no cost or return. Directions should explain that pressure must be carefully applied, evenly and slowly with foot, to get the hinge to open completely against the resistance of stretching the tight canvas seat.

          These chairs fit the bill perfectly - sound design, smooth finish on the wood, quality canvas seating and backs. They are comfortable and stable.
