The insert guides will either be flat, round, or square sticks on chair back not to be confused with square dowel construction which refers to the connector joints if squared or rounded.  Square joints are typically sturdier construction.  This cover set is expressly designed with round stick guides on chair back for the line of Gold Medal Directors Chairs only.
