The Telescope 17 Inch Heavyweave Mesh Director Chair is a great alternative to outdoor sling chairs. The heavy weave mesh covers will resist fading when placed outdoors and are longer lasting than canvas and acrylic. The frames are soundly constructed in the U.S.A. using the finest solid North American hardwood. Hardware is zinc plated to protect from rusting. The arms are sanded by hand for maximum comfort and smoothness. These chairs fold compactly for easy packing. The frames are offered in four finishes: white, natural, black, and walnut stain. The seat and back rests are available in 17 fabulous colors.  Load tested to 400 lbs., the chair folds compactly for easy packing and storage.

Heavy-weave mesh is made of a vinyl coated polyester and is the most durable fabric available for an outdoor chair. 


Frame Finishes: White and Black are coated with 2-3 coats of enamel paint.  Natural varnish has 2 coats of clear commercial urethane finish. Walnut stain has 1 coat of stain with 2 coats of commercial urethane varnish.

Construction details:  All wood parts are precision milled, pressed together and nailed for maximum rigidity.  Extra heavy-duty, corrosion-resistent, zinc-plated steel braces.  Extra-strong leg braces are nailed securely into the legs.  Self-leveling plastic glides on the legs help to prevent marring of floors.  Screws make these glides easily replaceable.  Tapered, shaped legs are nailed securely into a beveled seat block with mortise and tenon style joinery.  The seating material slips into a specially designed groove. No tools are needed.  All frames are select, kiln-dried solid hardwoods. They are shaped and hand sanded.  All back covers have a non-sag feature, one size seat and back fits all directors chairs.
